you have one of the coolest jobs in the whole world, at one of the coolest places in the whole world. When I first started going to the Smithsonian, Air & Space was in the little quonset hut on the mall, and exhibition technology consisted of A) hang it, or B) park it, and everything that wasn’t A or B was put in an oak-framed glass case with oak-framed, typed note cards. It was still cool, though. I look forward to seeing the finished exhibit–and hope you’ll be able to contribute updates; the “editing” process (deciding what stays/goes, streamlining when needed, reconfiguring, etc.) must be trouble, but fun too.
