Bob McCall also painted a large all-encompassing mural that now hangs in the ground level lobby of the other National Air & Space Museum located at the Dulles Airport in Chantilly Virginia. The mural which details many of the historic events in aviation and space has been there since the museum opened, December 17, 2003 on the 100th anniversary of the Wright Brothers first flight. I am told McCall,in his 80's, painted much of it on a procarious ladder much to the dismay of his cautious wife.
